Bollywood megastar and Kalyan Jewellers’ brand ambassador, Amitabh Bachchan, has unveiled the much-anticipated teaser video for the #KalyanNavratri celebrations hosted at the Kalyanaraman family’s residence in Thrissur. The festivities, steeped in tradition and devotion, are now in full swing, marking a special spiritual occasion.
The 3-minute teaser, which has captivated audiences, features Amitabh Bachchan reciting a powerful Sanskrit shloka from the Devi Mahatmyam — “Yaa Devi Sarva Bhuteshu, Shakti Roopena Samsthita, Namas Tasyai, Namo Namaha.” This hymn, dedicated to Goddess Durga, is a part of the Markandeya Purana and praises the goddess as the universal mother, embodying divine energy and strength.
The video showcases the unique theme of this year’s Navratri festivities, centering around Lord Rama’s legacy. It highlights the iconic moment of breaking the ‘Dhanush Baan’ at Sita Mata’s swayamvar, along with a depiction of a young Lord Krishna in a cradle swing, symbolizing divine virtue and strength. These representations of Lord Rama and Lord Krishna bring forth a rich cultural and spiritual experience for the audience.
As part of the celebrations, the Kalyanaraman family continues the long-standing tradition of the ‘Bommai Kolu,’ a festive display of dolls. The arrangement reflects the progression from the material to the spiritual, with figurines depicting divine goddesses Saraswati, Parvati, and Lakshmi, alongside everyday life scenes.
The video, which also includes a soulful musical score by the Rohan-Vinayak duo, and recording expertise by Jarvis, reflects the values of tradition, strength, and beauty that resonate with the Kalyanaraman family.
The teaser follows a grand celebration at the Kalyanaraman residence, which was graced by a dazzling lineup of Bollywood and South Indian cinema stars. Celebrities such as Ajay Devgn, Katrina Kaif, Saif Ali Khan, Bobby Deol, Shilpa Shetty, Malaika Arora, Naga Chaitanya, and Rashmika Mandanna joined the #KalyanNavratri festivities.
